Alchemist confirms new MOBB DEEP album in Breakfast Club interview

Alchemist, Larry June and 2 Chainz appeared on Breakfast Club on Power 105.1 this week to discuss their new project, "Life is Beautiful." The project is out now - and contains a gaggle of singles/videos, inluding "Munyon Canyon," "Generation," and "Bad Choices." Check YouTube for those.

Alchemist is Rap Royalty, and a friend of my friends. Larry June has been in my Spotify Unwrapped Top 5 Artists AND Songs for the past 6 years. And, I've been rocking with 2 Chainz since the DTP days. So, I'm super-excited about the Life is Beautiful album and all that comes with it.

But...

As a Mobb Deep head since The Infamous, I couldnt help but lean in when Alchemist confirmed to Dj Envy that a new Mobb Deep album is on the way. Per Alchemist, Havoc and Al did all of the beats, AND "Nas is involved." Apparently, Prodigy was ultra-prolific and left behind full clips of unreleased verses.

A dream come true for '80s Babies.

Peep the ill communication with DJ Envy @ 13:27:

Crazy story, Alchemist has since moved to a new studio, but back around 2014, I slid through Al's place with Chuck Inglish to grab a Pro Tools session Chuck recorded with Action Bronson at Al's studio for Chuck's solo album. On the way in, I just randomly happened to glance through the first door on my left once I stepped inside the front, and I saw a person sleeping with one leg hanging off of the bed. Once we step inside and dap up with Al, he mentions the guy sleeping in the first bedroom is Prodigy. I was already tweaking meeting Alchemist for the first time. But, knowing P was in the same studio made me want to forward my mail to the place, haha.

Thank you to Prodigy and Havoc from Mobb Deep for all that they gave us.

Thank you to Alchemist for all you have given us.

Thank you to Larry June for all you have given us.

Thank you to 2 Chainz for all you have given us.

Shoutout and spotlight to my brother, Super Engineer Todd Cooper for mixing all of these Larry June Records. Let's golf soon, man.
